Melanie Rachau serves as Keystone’s State Vice President for Indiana and Kentucky and brings nearly two decades of experience within the Keystone organization to her role. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Melanie explored several professional paths before finding her way back home—and ultimately to Keystone, where she quickly discovered a career built on relationships, growth, and service.
Melanie began her Keystone journey in what was formerly the IPS division and went on to hold roles across Programs and sales leadership, ultimately serving as Vice President of Sales for Property & Casualty. In March 2022, she assumed leadership of Indiana, and in 2025 her role expanded to include Kentucky. Approaching her 20th year with Keystone, Melanie’s career reflects deep institutional knowledge and a genuine commitment to the agencies she supports.
In her role, Melanie focuses on the overall growth of Keystone agencies, managing carrier relationships, and serving as a connector and problem-solver across the network. She is known for bringing people together, identifying solutions, and helping agencies navigate both challenges and opportunities.
Melanie describes her leadership style as servant-led and relationship-driven. She is passionate about Keystone’s partners, whom she considers the best in the business, and takes great pride in helping them achieve their goals.
Melanie graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in English.
