Andrea Powell has served as Keystone’s State Vice President for Missouri since 2016 and expanded her oversight to include Kansas in 2019. With 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Andrea brings a strong understanding of both agency and carrier perspectives to her role.
Andrea began her career on the independent agency side before transitioning to the carrier side, where she spent 10 years with United Fire Group, including serving as Missouri Marketing Representative. In her current role, Andrea focuses on facilitating organic growth through strong partner and carrier relationships. She works closely with agencies on strategic planning, product development, and new business sales, while connecting agents to the right resources to solve challenges and pursue opportunities. She also supports new franchise partner evaluation, assists with core carrier business planning, and manages several national carrier relationships.
Andrea’s leadership style emphasizes listening first and collaborating to build trusted relationships. What she enjoys most about working with Keystone partners is helping them solve challenges, win opportunities, and achieve their goals.
Andrea earned a Bachelor of Arts in Merchandising and Marketing from the University of Missouri–Columbia and holds her CIC designation. She was named Insurance Person of the Year by MAIA in 2024 and previously received Company Representative of the Year honors during her carrier tenure. She remains active with MAIA, currently serving on the Education Committee.
