Keystone Appoints Danielle Coutts as Chief Human Resources Officer

Veteran Insurance HR Executive Joins Keystone to Lead People Strategy

MECHANICSBURG, Pa., July 15, 2026 – Keystone today announced the appointment
of Danielle Coutts as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective immediately.
Coutts brings more than 13 years of progressive HR leadership experience to the role,
most recently serving as Director of HR within Brown & Brown retail, following the
acquisition of Risk Strategies by Brown & Brown.

In her new role, Coutts will lead Keystone’s human resources function, overseeing talent
acquisition and retention, organizational development, employee engagement, and HR
strategy across the company’s growing platform. She will report directly to CEO Mike
Walsh and serve as a key member of the senior leadership team.

“Danielle brings exceptional depth of experience and a passion for building great
organizations that will be a tremendous asset to Keystone as we continue to grow,” said
Mike Walsh, Chief Executive Officer. “Her background at Risk Strategies — navigating the
people challenges of a complex, fast-growing insurance business — makes her a perfect fit
for where we’re headed. We’re incredibly excited to have her join the team.”

Coutts joined Risk Strategies in 2013, where she spent more than eight years building
deep expertise in employee relations, talent management, and HR operations in a
complex, fast-growing insurance environment. In 2021, she was promoted to Director of
Human Resources, a role she held until joining Keystone. Her tenure at Risk Strategies
spanned significant organizational growth and transformation, giving her first-hand
experience navigating the people challenges that come with scaling a specialty
insurance business.
“I’m excited to join Keystone at such a pivotal point in its evolution and grateful for the
opportunity to partner with Mike and the leadership team as we shape what comes next,”
said Danielle Coutts. “Keystone’s growth to this point is a testament to the talented people
across the organization, and I look forward to getting to know them, understanding what
has made them successful, and building on that foundation. My focus will be creating an
employee experience and talent infrastructure that enables our people to do their best
work and supports Keystone’s continued growth and long-term success.”

Coutts appointment reflects Keystone’s continued investment in building a world-class
leadership team to support its more than 2,200 employees across the United States,
including corporate and its Platform Partners employees.
